Depending on the book, (never had any Spawns) I usually start at $499.00. Although, I've had some 9.8 newsies sell for as much as 1K.

Some more HPB finds. I only picked up the Namor because of @George Brent's post (thanks for the tip!). As usual, these all cost me half of cover price.

Nothing is rare after 1970, scarce perhaps, but not "rare."

That Ultraman Tiga is a nice find!  I'd wager there aren't that many Dark Horse newsies around, especially post-2000.

For non-big 2 newsies, I run across the Valiant ones less often than any other publisher it seems.

I am in Texas, yes. There's good stuff. You just have to have the patience to look. You won't always find something good, but the new stock that comes in as people sell their books in bulk always gives a chance for you to find a treasure. I've gone months without finding anything good at times, but I've also had spurts where every time I go I find something.

Besides, the hunt is fun!

Yes indeed. I agree. I guess you could say I'm in a dry spell, that imo, has gone on a little long.
