Side Note about my crappy Comcast Experience last night: Come home from work, internet and tv are DOWN. I do many restarts and unplugs of my tv box and modem, and various tightening of wires (though no reason they'd be loose). I still have my 5G on my phone going, I look up trouble shooting, and there's a reported Comcast outage about a mile away from me, but it says very clearly NOT IN MY AREA. I log into Comcast on my phone and try to reboot my gear from their side. They can't even connect to my gear to reboot. I call Comcast, and ask specifically about outages in my area, and they assure me there is none. I restart everything again and tighten everything again, the nice customer service lady tries to reboot from her side, nothing works. So I schedule an appointment for a person to come to my house for the next day, and they say its free unless its something I DID. I ask her to check again to see if there's an outage in the area. She says NOTHING, no reports. I go to the gym, about quarter mile from my house. Wifi has been down there all day. After about an hour of gym (mostly World Series watching), I go to a small local restaurant to grab dinner before going home. Their WIFI has been out ALL DAY. In summary, I'm not as mad about my system going out as I am that the outage map wasn't updated and I spent a bunch of time trying to solve the problem on my own including a calling a nice but uniformed Comcast employee.
