Not original staples 0

I was wondering if a comic has two staples that are not original, does that qualify as a restored comic and would receive a purple label?

Depends on if they're staples from the same era.

Same era staples could = Conserved.

Different era staples = Restored.

If some kid just stapled his comic back together after the cover came off, that comes back as restored correct?

But if he just adds extra staples because he is worried it will fall off, that could still be blue label?

I think it makes a difference in the notation pro or ammature?

It's always drove me crazy that say there was a tape pull fifty years ago and some kid coloured it with a marker,obviously not meant to deceive and that book would get a PLOD just like a pro job HOPING to deceive.I've started checking restored books out now,as I'll happily pay half price for a defect that to me adds fun,history to the book.
