After 43 years of exhibiting at San Diego Comic Con, I’m done.

I’m not getting into why, cause it’s really no ones business. But suffice to say I’m tired.

Please don’t email me with questions Or asking if you can have my booth. I won’t respond.

Just putting this out there for the 2 or 3 people who might care.

I’m NOT going out of business.

Always looking for consignments.

Thanks for looking and I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving.

Best,

Mitch Itkowitz/ Graphic Collectibles

Thanks.

The good news is that if I get enough consignments, I will continue the San Diego email blast of art for sale.

Keep in mind that there are many more buyers on my mailing list than show up at San Diego.

Mitch I care buddy. I'm not gonna ask you why? I sure as hell couldn't fill your shoes at your SDCC booth.

Many of us will always look to you for great art and your wisdom after all these years.

As a New York transplant and twenty year Southern California resident I'll miss seeing you out here.

All the best,

Mike in sunny southern California

That doesn't surprise me. So many global collectors these days. And you're better off without the convention overhead!

If you get enough consignments, I know of a booth you can hide out at SDCC and still sell artwork.

Good luck !!!

You posted about this possibility in another thread so I assume you were thinking about it well before then.

I wonder if you'll be the first of many to make this decision.  Art is bought/sold every day on-line, why wait until SDCC or any other convention?

Thank you Mitch for your Honesty and Fair Dealing from day 1 and the SDCC loses a good one. I understand the increased costs of everything here in San Diego as it has become a world class destination. The show, with its supposed" good intentions" is year by year weeding out the "old" like Terry Stroud, Bud Plant..and replacing it with whoever can pay the highest price and not complain about it. Very bad for us "old timers" who wanted to go to a real comic book convention and not a Hollywood promo show.

I always believed that there should be a Badge priority given to persons who have attended all of those years...and there should have been a discount given to dealers who also have be loyal and attended for a long time....that is what is right...but the economic reality is a different thing. I hope you will at least still attend some time in the future but good luck getting a ticket unless you know somebody as the movie people have jammed the attendance and made it a "lottery" to get a ticket.

I also want to thank you for having my back on these boards in the toughest times. I guess both the board and myself have mellowed or at least accepted my "style" of communication.

I wish you all the best.
