2" spine split at the bottom that comes just short of the staple. Staples are rusty but not bleeding. There is a second set of staples on the inside of the book, and it looks like the cover may have been detached and carefully glued back on at the spine - I'm not certain. Pages are tan, and the first wrap is about 2/3 split at the spine. There is no flaking, but pages, at least the first wrap would appear to have some brittleness at the spine. The book can be read, but should be handled carefully. This is an oversized book with stiff cardboard stock covers. A rare piece of comic history. 

Very scarce! 1933

This was the Jon Berk copy.
