Are signature COA's worth having ?

I would be interested to know members views on the subject of signature COA's. My understanding as a new collector of modern age comic books is that CGC do not recognise COA's when grading comics. They don't advise you to send them with the comic. So, what is the point of all this comic shop hype on COA's when you can't get your comic graded as a 'signature series' edition ?

They’re fine.  Everyone’s definition of ‘worth’ is subjective and largely dependent on cost and portentously profit.

if you can pay a dollar for the COA and it nets you $5 more a year from now, that’s like 500% profit.

or you could have gotten Cgc SS for $50 more and netted $25 profit a year from now. Much more absolute profit, but much more risk and investment for a lower rate of return
