I wish I had a comic store around here, anyway.... Is there a reliable site you guys use where I would be able to preview comics before buying them? Even just a couple pages. I want to be sure I like the art style of the strips rather than just basing the likeness on the cover alone.

if they are marvel books you can sign up for marvel.com site (subscription) and read some of the books they have I think they also release previews... check it out, it might work for you.

Comixology gives you the first three pages of every comic released.   Even if you aren't buying digital comics, at least you can "flip" through and make a list.
