This is an awesome book and it would be a shame to keep it in this condition. You probably already know this, but just in case you don’t, this is actually issue #1 for this series. Here is the note from mycomicshop.com “NOTE: There are two issues in this series numbered 13. The issue...dated May-June 1950, although numbered 13, is the actual 1st issue in the series. The one dated May-June 1952 is issue #13 in the series.” Let us know if you do anything with it and post pictures if you do! BTW - Welcome to the boards!
