I posted this one over in the "Show Us Your 10 cent" thread and I thought I would put it here too.

 

This is a great book.

I am quite fond of the post 1957 "company with no name" books that feature Kirby covers.

The western and teen titles are all rediscovered treats, as for years they had no collectiblity.

"They Crawl By Night" is a nice Basil Wolverton story.

 

I would have used adjectives like weird, creepy, and disturbing rather than nice but it's pure Wolverton to me.

I posted this one in the Western thread, but it fits here too. The water stain is a drag, but I think Atlas books are hard to find in really nice shape. Kudos to anyone who even has 7.0's or higher. Heck, even a Fine seems pretty exceptional.

Here's a Navy Combat #1. Not the prettiest copy, but I think Atlas war is also uncommon to find in better grades.

Here are a couple more Atlas war books. I haven't seen every post on this thread yet, but I'll bet there are still some higher grade Atlases out there to feast on. Everyone show 'em off! (Please.)

COOL! Thank you! I don't often get to see a white background with no yellowing on a book that old, and that rifle in front of the title really gives it a 3-D look.

I cannot attribute this cover. The Atlas Tales website suggests Carl Hubbel.

I just traded away the highest certified copy of this book (the "D" copy 8.5) for a Thrilling Comics # 64 (Schomburg airbrush). Oh yeah, and I threw in some cash too.

 

Love that great Atlas cover. Was sorry to see it go. But the new owner might be willing to part with it.
