More Fun Comics #33 (DC, 1938) CGC 4.5 Light tan to Off-White

Gerber rates this issue a "7" or "scarce" on their Scarcity Index, and this copy is one of a few that have been certified by CGC to date.

The cover is by Vin Sullivan, with interior art by Joe Shuster, Bernard Baily, and Bob Kane.

Heritage has sold only three copies and none since 2012.

$525.00

More Fun Comics #36 (DC, 1938) CGC 6.5 Off-White pages

Shades of the Little Rascals! That young man at the microphone looks a lot like "Alfalfa" on this great Creig Flessel cover! Inside, DC Hall of Fame artists Bob Kane, Joe Shuster, and Bernard Baily contributed story art.

Only two copies have been certified higher at 9.2 and 9.6 (not surprisingly the Church copy). Heritage has only offered five unrestored copies in 18 years, and sold only one copy in the last nine years.

From the Northern Lights Collection.

$975.00

More Fun Comics #38 Billy Wright pedigree (DC, 1938) CGC 4.0 Off-white to white pages.

This is one of only five certified copies, and there are only two graded higher (in fact, much higher! The Billy Wright copy at CGC 9.0 and the Church copy at CGC 9.4)! Heritage has only sold three unrestored copies (the two pedigrees) and one raw Fair copy! None since 2014.

This obviously shows how incredibly tough these issues are to find, and this one's 12/38 cover date puts it earlier than Detective #27 and before many Golden Age publishers had even begun publishing. So good luck finding a copy!

Any Creig Flessel cover is a cherished find. One of the best GA artists hands down!

A CGC 4.5 copy sold for $550 in 2017.

$500.00

More Fun Comics #45 Billy Wright pedigree (DC, 1939) CGC FN+ 6.5 Off-white to white pages.

One of just four copies that CGC has certified. Two grade higher. Great adventure cover!!!!

Another amazing Creig Flessel cover. Bernard Baily, story and art. Jerry Siegel story. Joe Shuster art.

The issues in the 40s are virtually impossible to find, and this was one of the last books I purchased when I was chasing the title. There are only four unrestored copies on the CGC census.

Heritage has sold only four unrestored copies. The last one in 2016 was a raw VG+ and sold for over 2x Guide.

$2,000.00

More Fun Comics #75 (DC, 1942) CGC 7.0 Cream to Off-White pages

A really sweet copy of this German War/Hitler cover issue. In the book, a new origin of the Spectre is presented, there's a Dr. Fate appearance, and obviously there are early appearances by Aquaman and Green Arrow (having just appeared for the first time two issues earlier). Howard Sherman cover and art. Bernard Baily, Jerry Robinson, George Papp, and Mort Meskin art.

Heritage has very few examples of this book being offered over the last 18 years. A CGC 7.5 (same PQ) copy sold just last week for $1,860.00.

$1,775.00

More Fun Comics #78 (DC, 1942) CGC 8.0 Cream to Off-White Pages

Second Green Arrow cover.

George Papp cover and art. Bernard Baily, Mort Meskin, Paul Norris, and Howard Sherman art.

Heritage has sold less than a dozen copies of this book and most of them were in its first years of business back in 2002-2004! Few copies have been available over the last decade.

$1,600.00

More Fun Comics #79 (DC, 1942) Condition: CGC 7.5 Off-White Pages

Green Arrow and Speedy cover. Heritage has auctioned only six copies.

Three copies grade higher (two are pedigrees, Rockford 9.4 and Church 9.6) but this issue is simply not available. The last Heritage copy sold was a raw VG/FN in 2015, and none before that since 2005! A CGC 4.0 copy sold in June 2019 for over 2x Guide!

So, as with many issues in this series, good luck finding it! And if you don't want to spend $6,000 - $9,000 for those two pedigree copies, this copy is the one for you!

$1,500.00

More Fun Comics #80 Rockford pedigree (DC, 1942) CGC VF 8.0 Cream to off-white pages.

Green Arrow does his best William Tell impression on this George Papp cover, and inside the book there's a host of other heroes, including Doctor Fate, Aquaman, Johnny Quick (with Mort Meskin art), and the Spectre (with Bernard Baily art).

From the Northern Lights Collection.

Second highest graded copy. The Church pedigree is the only one higher at CGC 9.4. Heritage has only auctioned seven copies in nearly 20 yeas and none since 2014.

$1,700.00

More Fun Comics #81 (DC, 1942) CGC 8.0 Off-White Pages

Last large logo. George Papp cover and art. Bernard Baily and Paul Norris art.

Three copies grade higher but where they are I do not know. Heritage has only auctioned FIVE copies in 18 years and NO CGC copies since 2002!!!!!! Only nine copies have been graded.

More Fun Comics #82 (DC, 1942) CGC 6.5 Cream to Off-White Pages

The Golden Age Green Arrow and Speedy star on the George Papp cover. First small logo cover.

Heritage has only offered four copies of this issue, and the only CGC copy was sold fifteen years ago!

Only three copies graded higher.

A mere $600.00.

More Fun Comics #85 (DC, 1942) CGC VF 8.0 Off-white to white pages.

Normally, plummeting to the ground with your hands and feet tied up would be cause for alarm. But if you're pals with Green Arrow, it's no biggie -- see this issue's George Papp cover for evidence. More Fun had quite an impressive roster of characters in those days; features include Doctor Fate, Aquaman, Johnny Quick (with Mort Meskin art), and the Spectre.

Two copies grade higher. The last recorded CGC copy that sold in 2016, which was a CGC 8.0, went for over Guide at $836.00. My price is barely higher.

From the Northern Lights Collection.

$900.00

More Fun Comics #87 (DC, 1943) CGC 7.5 Off-White Pages

Superhero Johnny Quick gets one of his rare spotlights on this cover by Mort Meskin, who also contributed interior art. This issue had the last Radio Squad and featured a interior cover ad for Boy Commandos #1.

Although there are five copies graded higher than this one (including one at CGC 9.8 :o ), there have only been five certified copies offered by Heritage in nearly twenty years!

$875.00

i kinda hate to see these get sold, counselor.

I agree. Happy that your reinvesting in other fun things,  but this must have taken so much work.  It's such a cool and unique piece of comic book history.

Great collection and thank you for making them available here.
