I'm actually going to cheat a little bit and include the first 14 months so we can finish the Jackpot appearances. Pep Comics #22 December 1941 The first appearance of Archie, Betty and Jughead. Archie was the second teen humor series introduced by MLJ (Wilbur debuted in Zip Comics #18, September 1941) and joined the Pep Comics cast of characters led by the Shield and Hangman just before the US entered World War II.
