Next up is going to be some sealed Power Records Comics.

I had Golden Age poly bags on hand but only regular size backer boards.  That should be ok as they have stiff cardboard covers and the record inside which makes them pretty rigid.

I understand that's not ideal but in the current situation I can't exactly run out to the LCS to get more supplies, I just have to make do with what I have.

I took scans of these which didn't come out great so I'm going to be adding cell phone pics as well.  Hopefully between the two you'll get a fairly good representation of condition.

POWER RECORD COMICS PR11

Herb Tripe cvr and art; Rhino and Abomination app; reprints Incredible Hulk #171

I believe this is the first issue as it has the printed price of $1.49, factory sealed but there is a split in the plastic all the way along the top which is good as it's released tension and allows the book to lay relatively flat, corners are unclipped and fairly sharp which is uncommon, there are a couple of spine stresses on the back cover and a spider vein crease the run from top to bottom about 1" parallel to the spine on the back cover, a really nice example

POWER RECORD COMICS PR25

Star Trek: Passage to Moauv; art by Neal Adams' studio

I believe this is the first issue as it has the printed price of $1.49, factory sealed but there is a split in the plastic along the top edge, still enough tension to create a bit of wave to the book, corners are unclipped and fairly sharp which is unusual though there is a hint of wear to the top of the spine on the back cover, a really nice example of this book

POWER RECORDS PR25 1979 reissue

Star Trek: Passage to Moauv; art by Neal Adams' studio, new photo covers from Star Trek: The Motion Picture

factory sealed but there are splits in the plastic at the top and bottom right corners of the book, tension from the plastic has created a curl to the book, corners are unclipped which is not easy to find but there is a bit of wear to all corner tips, a spine stress to the back cover, the plastic tension has created a crescent crease along the bottom record edge to the back cover, still a lot nicer than most of the examples you see of this book

$10.00  SOLD

POWER RECORDS PR26

Star Trek: The Crier In Emptiness; art by Neal Adams' studio

I believe this is the first issue as it has the printed price of $1.49, completely factory sealed, corners are unclipped and fairly sharp which is unusual, unfortunately an approx. 2" bend to bottom left corner with a spider vein crease, a stress mark to back cover, still a really nice example of this book

POWER RECORDS PR46

Star Trek: The Robot Masters

factory sealed with a split in the plastic to top right corner, more typical of what you see in terms of condition thought it has the virtue of being unclipped, wear to right corner tips especially top corner which has a crease and looks like a piece of litho is about to fleck off, tension from the plastic has created a curl to the book and caused a crescent shaped crease along the lower edge of the record to the back cover and an associated spider vein crease, a tension bend to the upper right area of the back cover resulting in creasing, spine stresses, a decent example

$5.00  SOLD

SPACE: 1999 magazine lot - #1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8

Gray Morrow painted cvrs and interior art, Vincente Alcazar, Carlos Pino art, issue #7 has Carl Pots/Dough Beekman/Ed Davis art that looks A LOT like Neal Adams (Davis is credited with working at Adams' studio so that probably explains it)  Some of the interior art is very nice though there is a lot of photo referencing and artists seem to change styles from issue to issue and sometime seemingly within a story.

Books are low grade, issue #1 being the worst, lots of handing wear and previous owner wrote "Breakaway" in pencil under that story and underlined a couple of episode titles in ink in one of the text pieces; issue #6 is the next worst with some impact tears to some interior pages, o/w issues seem to get progressively better in condition, issue #8 is probably close to FN

Since these are low grade and the current conditions prevent me from running to the LCS to buy magazine bags and boards, all will ship in a singly poly bag

GD to VG/FN   $9.00 for the lot  claimed by srezvan

That’s it for this morning. Tomorrow morning I’ll be adding more to my Copper / Modern thread so I don’t know that I’ll have time to add more here tomorrow.

When I get back to this thread we’ll be getting into the Gold Key and Marvel Star Treks...which I’m pretty sure I’m the only one here who cares about that stuff lol
