magic_ike98 Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 Noticed a good portion of my comics from this era seem to be cropped. Cropped in a sense that the entire book was probably printed on the pages a lot higher up than usual. This isn't very noticeable with the contents in the book except for the bottom margin being larger but cover images look deranged as some of the top cover text is cut off. No portion of the cover is missing a portion of the image as I know that prior to printing artists have a much larger cover art that inevitably gets trimmed down. Would submitting comics with these manufacturing defects affect grade? Does this qualify as a physical defect?
Lazyboy Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 Miscut books are common in nearly every era and still exist even today, despite significant improvements in printing over the years. Unless it's much worse than what you've shown here, CGC does not consider it when grading (at least below 9.9). theCapraAegagrus 1
