I just posted in a forum and realized I don't like the screen name I've been given and I don't see where to edit my name? Is this standard to be given a automatic screen name?

Did you accidentally type your telephone number (with area code) into the profile box marked "Name?"

Step 1 - select 'Forums' and then 'My Settings':

 

Step 2 - select 'Account Settings':

 

Step 3 - click on the little grey pencil symbol just to the right of 'Account Info':

 

Step 4 - type in you new display name in the 'Public Name' box:

 

Step 5 - click on 'Save' and your public display name will show as changed:

 

Step 6 - click on 'Chat Boards' from the top menu (furthest on the right):

 

Step 7 - you'll return to the Forum home page, but your name will still be the old one:

 

Step 8 - log out and back in again and your new name will show:
