DC Comics Presents #26 Undervalued

This comic has the 1st appearance of the new teen titans , whose show has been on tv in various formats, for years now. This issue includes the first appearances of that team plus the first appearances of Raven, Starfire, and Cyborg! Cyborg has become a pretty big character and even featured in the Justice League movie. So why is this comic still so cheap?

And I would also like to proudly show my copy which I bought in 1985! Signed by a lot of people including most people who worked on this comic plus most of the voice cast of the teen titans show and Cyborg actor Ray Fisher

Nice book. Ray Fisher signed it boo-yah. That's great lol

There's a bajillion of them around and many slabbed in high grade. That's likely why it's not valued higher.

Great book!   Have fond memories as small child of the very day I purchased it

The Graded populations are on the high side.  Still, I do wonder if it was a Marvel book with same significance how much higher the $ amount of actual sales would be? 2x? 3x? 4x?

Perhaps if Raven,Cyborg and Starfire and The Titans were actually on the cover (the ultra tiny inside cover facsimile does not count) it would be more desirable?

Glad to have my 9.8 Newsstand even if its not worth anymore than it cost me 5 years ago!

I bought my newsstand copy new.  I had been buying DCCP for several months, so even if the NTT were not in there I would have a copy as part of my run.

As compared with lots of Marvels as far as first appearances, you would think that the Starfire/Cyborg/Raven intro could also generate interest.

Exactly. They been everywhere so the market has spoken. Maybe takes a movie to get it going. Spider-verse cartoon increased values though. Just a preview though inside a book with ugly cover. I have teen titans 1, no desire to own dc 26.

Your definitely right, the market has spoken indeed! Yeah I guess it’s a marvel thing to. If teen titans were a marvel property I’m sure this book would be double the value! Still don’t truly understand it but hey I also don’t get why Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen #134 is Darkseid’s first appearance either since he’s only on one little panel and looks nothing like he would eventually turn out to be lol
