I'm curious what CGC would do with the ink transfer on the R and the M. Thoughts?

It's just the way the light hit it. No tears, no color change. The reading edge is fine.

I don't think very mild ink transfer is going to hit it much...I can't even really see it but that is probably due to the lighting washing out those whites.

If you open the link and make it as big as possible you can see it just fine.

I think getting that right edge fixed is probably a bigger deal.  The ink might have been a bigger impact if that was the only thing wrong with the book, but then other defects probably already have it at a 9.0.

This is what I get for not posting scans and instead posting pics and asking about a particular issue. The book is otherwise a 9.6-9.8 candidate. I was much more interested in what you thought the hit would be for the ink transfer on the logo than getting a grade. I thank those that responded but this was a pretty frustrating exercise.

I also see something on the edge. If it’s nothing then yeah 9.4-9.6 seems right. The ink transfer may keep from 9.8 as I have not seen this flaw on this issue before.

Of course page quality also pays a roll and assuming pages are nice I think this is definitely 9.4 at minimum.
