well, it's less than the poor shmoe who slabbed them spent on the plastic cases, so i guess you didn't do too terribly

 

i think those are reprints, so not my cupy of tea

 

BUT, they're useful as exemplars to help you grade raw books if nothing else.

 

A few years ago I bought a number of CGC books in various grades that really weren't "worth" what I was paying (which was generally around the cost of slabbing), but I wanted them to use as exemplars when I graded my own books. I figured it couldn't hurt too see what CGC considered a bronze age 8.0 or whatever. I had my own ideas from 25 years of collecting, but given that CGC seemed like "the" standard....
