CGC Yellow Label for signed comics from artist website with COA?

Hello!

Will CGC give a yellow label for a comic book that was bought from an artists website if that comic comes sealed with a COA? For example: I have a signed book from J Scott Campbells store. It is sealed with his JSC sticker on the back of the bag with a COA inside. Wil CGC recognize that and give a SS yellow label?

Thank you in advance for any and all replies!

Good morning, thanks for your message.  Unfortunately, we do not accept COA's and would not be able to give a signature series label to a book unless the signature was witnessed by an authorized CGC witness.  You can find more info on our signature series on our website: https://www.cgccomics.com/signature-series/

Thank you!

IF the artist is willing to send it in directly with a CGC authorization form you can do that.. but it has to come from the Artist/Writer etc..    Jeff Campbell sells CGC books so i dont know that he does much of this but you could ask.. next time you end up buying one from him.  (But if you buy from a LCS, its already out of his hands so it will get a Green Label, (which to me isnt a bad thing, if you want it graded and slabbed.. you still have the certificate to go with it that says its real)

Hello, you would need to check with our signature series department to first see if a creator agreement would be accepted in this situation.  If it acceptable, they would then email you one of the forms you could have the artist send with the book.  You can email them at signatureseries@cgccomics.com.

Thanks!
