Madam Web First Appearance in Star Wars#1? 1 1

I was reading Start Wars #1 and came across this.  I guess it doesn't count as a first appearance apparently since it's a Hostees Ad but  Star Wars #1 (July 1977) VS ASM 210 (11/1980).....

That’s interesting.  I don’t know anything about madame web as a character, is this the same character? Three years before her 1st app?  In this ad they seem to know each other. Cool find! 🙂

I don't know anything about the character either. I'm not even sure if that's the first Hostees ad with Madam Web.  There are rumors that the character maybe  introduced in Sony's Spider-man Cinematic Universe which has increased the value of ASM#210.  I was hoping someone would have chimed in on the subject but it's just been crickets HAHA.

It's not the same character. Not even close. It's not even spelled the same, unlike Nick Fury's "Bullseye" or any of the many, many others with identical names.

AFAIK, the "new characters" in the Hostess ads were all throwaways and not reused.

Madam Web seems sort of “easy” by the ad. I think Spidey should have gone for it personally.
