Cease through front cover?

If you mean the upturn, (slight roll) just to the right of the spine mostly evident at the top, that makes this a great pressing candidate as it will press right out. But the type of color-breaking fractures at the spine, the transverse stressing won't be mitigated by pressing.

No, there's some straight-line feature going thru the "A" in Beast and seemingly down the entire cover.

Down the body of the A and another line to the left of it, in between the E and A.   Print lines. This book is infamous for them and printing ink-smudges..

I'll tell you, there's something very interesting about this book, and I think it has something to do with the absence of the staple! I've never seen an AA 11 that didn't have a gray smudge band soemwhere in the Beast's right hand finger area (sere the image below). This is the first time that I can say I've seen an 11 that was completely clean in that area, dark black, cleanly delineated by gray and white and yellow in that area without the usual smudge!

etc., etc.

All of the AA 11s that I can search on ebay have the smudge/streak on or around the same place, and seemingly always to the right of the staple, positioned at the same latitude! I've got to think that the absence of the staple is why this is the first one I ever recall seeing without the gray streak/smudge.
