First up: Dr. Strange (of course!)

My vote:

Christopher Walken! Can you imagine him saying the following line:

"The dread Dormammu... his head... it's ON FIRE. That's freaking me out. Wow. It's engulfed in flames. He kind of scares me. Scares me enough to bash his %$#& brains in with a bat."

As for the others...

Cloak and Dagger: 50 Cent and Hillary Duff. Can anything be more awesome???

Captain America: Benjamin Mckenzie from "The O.C." WHAT? He's blonde! He has muscles and a brooding demeanor! I can see him with a shield kicking nazi .

Nick Fury = Samuel L. Jackson headbang.gif

Ant Man = Rob Schneider yay.gif

Any more suggestions for Black Panther, the Avengers, Power Pack, Hawkeye and Shang-Chi? Remember, most of these movies won't be hitting screens until at least 2008, so this means a lot of young actors will probably land these roles instead of the big names we all know today.

I actually pitched a rather oddball take on Ant-Man to Artisan Entertainment a few years ago when they held the film rights to the character. I suggested Johnny Depp.

They loved the take, but Ant-Man was on a back-burner for them. They were actively developing Iron Fist at the time.

Nick Fury = Samuel L. Jackson

Not for this to taken the wrong way and I like Samuel as much as anyone else,

but Nick Fury is... Caucasian...

It is hard for me make the switch when he was clearly not that way in the comic.

I have had so many people say that they didn't mind Kingpin being black in DareDevil

but it bothered me because I think going off the character was a little strange.

Almost as if they made Black Panther or Luke Cage movie and made them white.

Am I the only one that thinks this way?

Future What if? story: What if Black Panther and Blade fought Simon Phoenix (Snipes villain from Demolition Man)?

You'd have to have a special appearance by Noxeema Jackson from "To Wong Foo..." thrown in there as well.

I'm thinking Seth Green would make a good Ant Man... I saw him (or a reasonable facsimile thereof) on the cover of The Freshman with goggles and thought... "Yeah, OK."

As far as The Wasp (who could be in Avengers, Ant Man or both), Haley Hudson (from the recent "Freaky Friday" remake and the pilot to Showtimes new show "Weeds") gets my vote:

I felt it odd that in the first Batman movie Harvey Dent was played by Lando (sorry the name escapes me).

Then by the time we have the Two Face movie he's played by Tommy Jones.

Samuel L. Jackson in many ways already plays the Ultimate Marvel Universe Nick Fury in the XXX movies (not the pornos, but the ones with Vin Deisel and Ice Cube... although that would make an interesting porno in and of itself 893scratchchin-thumb.gif (kidding!)). It's a big change from the Lee/Kirby/Steranko canon to have him as the head of S.H.I.E.L.D., but I can see him fitting the role a lot better than David Hasselhoff.

What about Thor or Hawkeye? Any suggestions? Some of the kids who'll be in Power Pack are probably doing guest spots on Noggin, Sesame Street or the Disney Channel right now, so that one's gonna be pretty hard to guess...

Billy Dee Williams was contracted to play Harvey Dent in the first three movies originally. He was going to play Two-Face, as well.

When the Producers found out that Tommy Lee Jones was interested in the Two-Face role, they dropped BDW like the Goblin dropped Gwen off that bridge.

Happy ending, though; BDW had his contract set up to guarantee payment, and so he was paid in full for his "non-role" in whichever one TLJ eventually showed up in.

Same story for Robin Williams, who was slated to play the Joker, but got screwed in favour of Jack. Probably for the better, one would think in hindsight

I always thought that when the first Batman movie came out in 1989 that the direction to go was to have Clint Eastwood play Batman. This would have made Bruce Wayne an aging crimefighter with a dark side and emotional scars. Eastwood would have been young enough still (50's) to represent the perfect dark Batman. This however would have changed the entire direction of the series from Big Budget, unrealistic campiness to something more real and more about the character which probably would have not done as well at the box office.

They should use that voodoo guy (midnight)from constantine for Black Panther he looks like he can be a king and an kicker at the same time

and Ted Danson for Nick fury he would just need to bulk up a bit

Nick Fury would have to be a grizzled older war veteran type. No pretty boys, or former pretty boys, as the case may be. Think Clint Eastwood or Jack Palance from their cowboy days. Tough old bastich.

As for Black Panther, the guy never seemed very kingly to me in the first place, so I don't think they'd need a very regal presence. But if you want to go there, I agree that Djimon Hounsou (Papa Midnight) would be perfect.
