Pressings limitations? 2 2

So im new to comics, im new to grading and due to a cavalcade of errors on my part already need some advice.

 

An incident occurred with a stack of comics piled where they shouldn't have been, a very playful 100lb dog and now a Last ronin variant of mine has a indent line from a dog claw.  it not a scratch despite what the reflection of the picture looks like. no color missing just a long indented line where the dogs nail went.

 

is this something there is ANY hope of getting pressed out?  who should i have try if so?  any advice on how to better the situation short of taking better care of my comics or explaining the importance of comic condition to my dog would be very welcome.

I'm not sure what the value of the book is but assuming it has real value to you, spending $10-$20 for a press may be worth taking a chance. It's hard to tell the depth of the defect without better pics.

Educating your canine is the only option.

I'm not familiar with that comic, but it looks like a cardstock cover.  Paper covers are easier to press out defects such as indentations, because you are really pressing out a "sharp bend", now protruding through the opposite side.  So just flattening it from both sides. 

With cardstock, the indentation could be considered a form of engraving, displacing some of the fibers, etching it in.  I think they can still be pressed, but require a different technique.  Perhaps @joeypost could advise.

Would need a better close up, but that is a tough one to fix due to the glossy nature/thickness of the cover
