Albert Thurgood
They are not in the best condition, but easily worth the price I paid for them! Fine work by two of the best artists in the business! edit: I tried deleting this third image many times but the system keeps adding it back in! Bluemedgroup
Probably my best Return on Investment in the wild find was a Jetsons 1 raw I found for $10 at my Half Priced Books. I had it graded by CGC and sold it for $450 a few months this later. BlowUpTheMoon, Tri-Color Brian and Chief1332

jcjames
This one was left being unappreciated in an antique store a few years ago so I brought it home. Morganmi and Tri-Color Brian

Different places, mostly swap meets and class mates from school. Most of my silver comics were found in the wild, but I didn't feel like posting 600+ covers... In fact, I probably bought over 100 of them off the spinner rack at the store, like those last 4 DCs I posted. I was a 70s kid and only got what was on the newsstands at the time (so no SA) for about 4-5 years, then re-entered collecting about 7-8 years ago. Here's a few Actions from the spinner rack... Awesome. My uncle was an OO collector during the 1930s and 1940s even as a kid. My dad would tell me about how protective his brother was of his comics even as a kid, he would laugh as he expained how my uncle (as a teen at the time) would first "train" people how to handle a comic and how to turn the pages before showing them. This was in the 40's! The horror of it all was that, while my uncle was serving in Korea during the war, his mother (my grandmother) cleaned out all his "junk" one day and threw away all of his comics! I cannot imagine! Tri-Color Brian
I guess that's one reason why I left all my comics in a locked, 6 ft high steel cabinet when I went to college. Dave2739
