For Gem Mint cards (CGC 9.5) what is the lowest Centering sub-grade allowed? 1 1

Is it 8.5 or 9? Assume the other 3 sub-grades are 9.5.

Its an average. So if you get a 10 on everything else you can get an overall 9.5 with an 8 in centering

I want to say that at certain grades, a card can only score so far above it's lowest grade. I think a card with three 10's and one 8 might not be a 9.5 since CGC might cap it at a 9 or 8.5

Are you sure on this? I don't believe you can get 1.5 above your worst grade (I thought there was some kind of limit like if your worst grade of the subs is an 8 the highest total you could get is either 8.5 or 9, not sure which, but I thought it was something along those lines.

I don't think they want to reveal all of their grading metrics but It's been confirmed it's not an average as confirmed by the post here from Admin PaulS a week or so ago.
