Katrina must have ruined a lot of comics.......

I was just thinking.... Hurricane Katrina must have totally ruined thousands of comics. I wonder if some LCS in NO had an Amazing Fantasy 15 that was totally wrecked or maybe looted. Could have been any other valuable comic too. I am guessing the really valuable ones were already evacuated before it hit. Some long box inventories may have been hit though.

My last trip down there,I bought a Strange Tales 101 from an antique dealer in a flea market like pavilion right on the Mississippi.

Can't imagine that quonset-like hut survived intact.Comics weren't one of his priorites,so who knows what stock he evac'd ahead of the storm.

Almost all his books were in the G/VG range,btw
