Any restored Allentowns?

It is my understanding that the Wonder Comics #1 (Fox, 1939) is restored because of a serious spine split.

Other then that spine split , I bet it's a beauty!! What a cool book also , Will Eisner,early art!!

When I owned it, the split was about 2" but wasn't close to the staple yet.

Unless it went further along the spine I would have left it as is.

If memory serves me correctly, I had the Allentown copy of Nickel Comics #8 at one point in time. Never should have sold it since it appeared to be undergraded as only a 9.2 Blue during one of the early Manning auctions.

 

Quite surprised at that grade compared to some of the 9.6's I got back at the time on a submission a couple of weeks earlier.
