Newbie question: How are sealed polybag comics graded? 0

For instance, the death of Superman black sealed polybag that came with the armband and some other things. How is this kind of book graded? Is it sealed within the plastic shell still inside of the polybag? What if it’s a polybag with a trading card included?

no comic is slabbed still inside the bag. The bag will be removed prior to encapsulation. If there is something in there you don't want to lose, then remove the bag yourself. Only insert items count towards a comic being complete or not. So if the trading card is not an insert attached to the book, then it doesnt matter if it's included with the submission or not.

They're removed from the bag(s), graded, and then encapsulated.

Would a bag grading company grade the bags I brought home from the grocery store last night? I'm hoping for some 9.8s.

Probably a 9.2 then.  Post it in the Spare a Grade section and see what they say.

Whatever you do, don't have plastic bags pressed.  Last time I did that it melted to the pressing machine.
