Strange Superman 14 transaction. 0

I've had a non-CGC Superman 14 on MCS for a few months. I paid $1775 for it a few years ago and started out asking $5,000. It was very high but I love the cover. I'd reduced it to $4,000 when someone stated nibbling on it. He offered $3,000, then $3400, both automatic rejections. His $3600 offer wasn't rejected out of hand. I counter-offered at $3900.27. He came back with $3900.  I accepted, but losing that twenty seven cents bothers me. Now I just have to wait for him to pay.

Is the buyer here, by chance?

Yeah if someone counter-bid me 27 cents less I'd be concerned. Concerned that the person may be a bit looney. What ever happened?

Maybe they just wanted to 'win' by having you accept their offer rather than the other way around.

They paid. I'm still waiting for the check but MCS got paid.
