Tomb of Dracula 1

1st Dracula in Marvel Comics, this book has really taken off...

VG-, present nicely but has a scrap to the front cover from the girl's mouth to the upper right picture frame corner. Nice cover gloss with a stain in the VA in VAMPIRE and another on the lower left corner of the CCA stamp. A couple non-color-breaking creases on the front cover that may press out.

Tight copy with a small tear just under but near the word DUO to the right edge of the book. Small piece of lower right front cover corner missing. Two words written in pen on first page. Small tears on staples but they’re still hanging on. VG+, my keeper copy

Thor 129

1st app of Ares, emerging key in this run with ties to Thor Love and Thunder, several other Greek 1st appearances.

VG/F with some spots of light cover staining and another light stain along the top of the back cover. Perhaps a gentle tape pull to the bottom of the back cover resulting in a loss of reflectivity compared to the rest of the back cover. Corner blunting and edge wear but a tight flat center of the book that ensures the cover maintains its appeal

Purchased as a VG. The copy looks good in mylar but is well-read and you can see numerous handling creases in the right light.

Prices vary quite a bit on this one but it seems to be trending upward based on ebay sales.

2nd appearance of the Punisher, 1st appearance of Tarantula, complete with MVS

Very high grade, 9.4, maybe 9.6/9.8 with a press. slight staple stress at top staple, small handling crease near the 'R' in Spider-Man in the black banded logo on the top left of the book. Small stressed area back cover top right, slightly blunted top left back cover corner, small non-color breaking stresses to bottom of back cover. The best copy of this book I have owned.

Scarce Superior title taken over from Chesler, only copy I can find is a coverless ebay copy for $99. Heritage had the promise copy, a 9.4 that sold for $6000

G, nice eye appeal but spine splitting at top and bottom, no brittleness. Both staples secured throughout book but there is a spine split near the bottom one where the back of the comic is still stapled. Minor grease pencil checkmark on cover. Small piece missing at bottom of front cover, some corner folds down there too, tear under the cape of the superhero on the cover that extends through the first 2 or 3 pages. Tear to middle left of back cover, a few small tears at the spine and light staining back cover.

Hard to price this because there are so few copies available anywhere.

Racket Squad In Action 12

Classic Steve Ditko explosion cover, entertaining fight panels as a mark turns the tables on the crooks that would rob her!

Lower grade, call it 1.5. Presents well for the grade but top to bottom cover folds that break color, spine tears, corner folds, a large tear through the 'R' in Racket, smaller edge tears, significant reading creases, and somehow the book has maintained a strong cover gloss. They really don't make them like they used to.
