Screening price and pressing charge 0

Hi CGC,

Can you please confirm that if, after screening, its discovered that pressing would not benefit a comic, only the screening cost is due?  Pressing would not go ahead and its cost would not be charged?

Good morning,

Thanks for your message.  Yes, if you request screening and we determine that pressing would not benefit the book, you will only be charged the screening fee.  Pressing fees are only charged if the book is approved for pressing and goes through that service.

What about my subsequent question.  Is the screening fee waved if pressing goes ahead regardless of grading tier

The screening service is charged whether it passes the screening or not. If it passes the screening and moves to pressing then you would be charged both screening and pressing fees.  If it does not pass the screening then you would only be charged the screening fee.
