They are are Perfectly Pristine Gem Mint! 

Never been opened after being found in an estate sale when the family found it hidden in a wall in the attic inside of a cedar chest!

GOOD GAWD!  Who graded this thing?!

There's only 13 of these 9.8's on census and the value (heavily based on rarity) drops as more get added due to poor grading! Way to drag the rest down, CGC.

I have 2 of these ready for submission that should get a 9.8, so this makes me sad when I see a 9.0-9.2 in there taking up a reserved spot for elite books. GET THE HELL OUT OF THAT SLAB!

P.S. That book (TMNT #4 2nd Print 'Nintendo Cover' CGC 9.8) is worth $5,000, while a 9.6 is only worth about $1,200. So, somebody got a huge bonus!

**The seller (on eBay) did call attention to the 'problem areas' within the listing, and set the price at only $4,000 - knowing that the slab was given too high of a grade. Yet it's barely worth 25% of that listing price.

Where the hell was QC on that book?  Not only is that CLEARLY not a 9.8, but the label is missing ALL of the information.  No mention it's a second print.  No mention Eastman and Laird art, etc.
