The cover looks wrong (and those shiny staples), but the interior looks pretty real.  Would a repo try and reprint the yellowish page toning (hard to see if the paper is glossy or newsprint)?  And if so, then the repo would need to be printed larger scale to be able to crop off any white edges.

I do not know if this was a clue to this mystery but look at the inside cover bottom on the publishing information ...it says " V2. No 1....so this appears to be a second edition or authorized printing? Why would the  1941 original say V2.????

It actually says "Vol. 2, No. 1, March 1941"

agreed, by should it say Vol 1 No1?... for the 1941 version, also I agree the staples....

Low feedback seller has immaculate copy of Cap 1 that he inherited, apparently, and opts not to do any research on the book to determine its value (that would require at least three clicks on Heritage or any other auction site, to be fair).

It has a bad smell though, so it's obviously authentic.
