There is a jagged indention (I would not call it a crease) from the Silver Surfer's hip to his right hand.  Trying to figure out what it is?  Any ideas how it would have got there?

That looks like it could be a printing wrinkle, which is caused by an irregularity in the paper. It's a pretty common flaw on books from this era. If that's what it is, it's no big deal...

AKA printer's crease. Looks like some of the crease absorbed some of the cover ink and parts of it did not. I would double-check against color touch there just to be sure.

The scratch coming down from the surfers arm is more of a concern.
