PGM Green Lantern 59 - GRADE IS IN! 3 3

-Cover is separated from bottom staple.

-Light sun shadows across the top I believe.

-Last pics show a few spots of staining (water drops?) across the cover. These are only visible with the right lighting reflection so a bit tough to capture. They're practically invisible behind plastic, but definitely something there.

The "blown" bottom staple is the governing or most critical defect.  DC comics from the mid-1960s were manufactured with relatively thin cover stock and are especially prone to experiencing a blown staple.  Even if there were no other blemishes, the partially detached cover would limit this book's condition grade to the 7.0 FN/VF to 7.5 VF- range.  When you account for the other defects (light handling stress, droplet-type stains, edge shadows, light soiling, etc), I think you'll be looking at a final grade of 6.0 FN to 6.5 FN+.

It looks really nice but as far as a grade goes, I'm at 4.0.  Water stains plus a popped staple equals 4.0 or less.  If you go the qualified route, maybe 6.5.

Boom. Good job gang! Went as is on this and very happy with the return. Given the grader notes a press MAY have eeked out another point or half, but time wise, it was definitely worth just getting the quick turnaround.
