As the original Nova story was really just a ripoff of Green Lantern and Richard Ryder's Nova has never got above C-list status or maybe even D-list, I imagine Marvel Studios doing something a little more original with the Nova concept and use it as an opportunity to expand the Marvel universe more.

Sure, Marvel might want to repeat the "knucklehead in space" story that worked with Peter Quill and that we've seen in a handful of sci-fi movies over the years, but I'd rather see them explore the Xandar story and avoid making it all about a Terran. Like what happened to Xandar during Infinity War? Are the Nova Corps still around?

Kevin Feige has hinted two including two versions of Nova over time within the MCU. So with that we will see two different origin stories to account for, one of which may be an Earth-based influence.

I would never assume one or two times of a thing within the MCU and never expect it again.
