i rewatched the first one recently since seeing in the theatre (i had tried to soon after it was released on max but couldn't get into it)

great movie, excellent on everything acting, directing, story etc

there is a lot of stuff that is very subtle for Bruce Wayne/Batman character arc (where he is in the beginning of the film vs the end) and i think it's to set up this film

I don't know how the financial situation doesn't flow down to these sub-studios to drive even more financial demands. It would be crazy not to.

WBD has been rumoured to be up for sale for a bit. I am curious to see if someone like AAPL or AMZN snaps them up for the content. Their debt load is a rounding error for either of those two.

There's a reason why Matt Reeves walked away from the WB offer the first time. They had to give him complete control to avoid garbage like what is happening with the DCU and legacy DC films.

If you have a quality movie come out featuring the same character while the show is going on, it will also do very well.

They really are clueless. Focus on the quality of the product. Nothing else matters as far as financial performance.
