I think the Spawn Origins HC set that I sold last month was/were my first(s).

Wow, I’ve been doing this a long time...    The earliest I can remember was a GA  All American and a Flash I believe.

It was my first GA buy. I was about 12.  I bought a small pile of books for about $30. From a friend’s dad who had a pawn shop. Was a lot of money to me at the time.

I took the stack to a local swap meet where a friend’s dad had a space and spread them out on the ground. An older guy bought those two for $30. I think I got the prices from a Howard Rogofsky catalog.  I then scooped up the rest and took them home. 

I really can’t remember what was in the pile. I do remember Submariner #6 and Batman #16 I think. Really nice shape. The oldest comics I had ever seen at the time.
