That seller (josfriend2) has had several copies of Batman #1 up for sale before, including this copy.

 

All overpriced.

Eeek, what a hideous copy! One of these days, likely years from now, I'll be in the market for a lowgrade Batman #1..but even I will have to have better standards than this!

Pretty ugly, but the registration is actually pretty nice. A lot of Bat 1s have bad registration.

I guess here we have a one-man confirmation of the earlier conclusion that Batman 1 is a really common key.

Batman 1 is the most common golden age key i have no dought.[in any grade]...

It is rare in high grade however unrestored because this book was the[ crayon peoples favorite cover to drawn on.Its so beautiful it just begged for it.[the crayon people being kids and much later amature restorers.

Man, what an ugly book. I can't see that book ever, ever selling for $3500. It's not like it would be easy to improve with restoration...plus as has been mentioned, Batman 1 is a relatively easy GA key to find. If the seller put it up for auction with no reserve, would it even crack $1K?
