I usually go to coffee every morning and visit with my circle of friends.  One friend for years has done the 'ok stop talking about that' over random things I am saying.  Today I started saying "I CAN TALK ABOUT WHAT I WANT!".
This seems to shut him up.

I had to say it FOUR TIMES during the hour I was there.  Each time he looked sheepish as he realized I had exposed him again and its hard to break his habit.  Cant wait for manana.

THIS is a great idea.  However, too labor intensive.  but you have given me an idea-I always carry a clipboard with me in case I want to draw someone-I am going to prepare an I CAN TALK ABOUT WHAT I WANT! sign.
