Not just British children were left terrified by this film. I can testify it left me absolutely sobbing as a kid. I loved rabbits as a kid, so my mother thought this film would be right up my alley. So. Much. Blood.

I cried and cried. 

I remember gore too, but there's no mention of that in the article, really, besides the eating them alive bit, so yeah, I guess it was gory, too. Good one, memory.

One of my favorite movies as well as novels. Man, if you really want to mess a kid up, give them a sweet little double feature of Watership Down and The Plague Dogs.

I'll count myself lucky I'm only familiar with the one. It really was bad enough. Between that and the Transformers deaths, 80's kids had it rough!  /s
