I remember as a kid, that 'Behind The Magic' I think it was. It showed you how a lot of tricks were done, with a 'masked magician' who couldn't reveal his face because it was simply too dangerous for him. Like yeah, police radios blare 'MAGICIAN DOWN!'.

well stage magic doesnt impress me but the close up tricks-thats where the rubber hits the road.  I know one trick that has made people scream.  i did it in class one time some 11th graders were playin cards I said wanna see a trick?  Then I spread the cards face down in a pile and said 'point to the 4 of diamonds' (it can be any card).  kid points to a card I turn it over-FOUR OF DIAMONDS.  It literally seems completely impossible.  and I hate card tricks but that one's a doozy.

Card tricks impress me. Straight up, each deal has statically never been dealt before. That's amazing on its own, let alone the trick.

i had a keychain poker game that I played constantly.  click click click all day long between various tasks.  For about a year.  Not one royal flush.  thats how rare they are.  did get 2 straight flushes tho  $$$
