Anyone ever had a GA book stapled backward?

I was going to use this coverless Adventure Comics to marry and complete a different copy. I went to look at the staples and they actually start in the middle of the book and then close on the outside. They look original and feel like the right gauge. It would explain why the book was more likely than other copies to lose its cover. Am I misreading this or has anyone else got any copies like this? Thanks for any insight.

Huh, that's wild! Never seen that particular flaw before... which is maybe kind of surprising when you think about it. With *so* many copies of *so* many issues being pumped out at *so* many printers, seems like it would be fairly easy for a pile of pages and covers to be flipped before the staples were put through.
