Minor Edge/Corner Wear, Crease W/Color Break at Lower Right Corner, Slight Staple Tears, Slightly Discolored Staples, Slight Color Rub in the Black Areas, Slight Foxing on Rear Cover.

IMO, the crease at the lower right prevents this book from being a higher grade.

7.5 VERY FINE- (VF-):  Back to Top
Fits the criteria for Very Fine but with an additional defect or small accumulation of defects that detracts from the book's appearance by a perceptible amount.

7.0 FINE/VERY FINE (FN/VF):  Back to Top
An above-average copy that shows minor wear but is still relatively flat and clean with outstanding eye appeal. A small accumulation of minor bindery/printing defects is allowed. Minor cover wear beginning to show, possibly including minor creases. Corners may be blunted. Inks are generally bright with a moderate reduction in reflectivity. Stamped or inked arrival dates may be present. Minor foxing. The slightest spine roll may be present, as well as a possible moderate color break. Staples may show some discoloration. Slight staple tears and a small accumulation of light stress lines may be present. Slight rust migration. Paper is cream to tan. Centerfold is mostly secure. Minor interior tears at the margin may be present.

The whole thing is that you do not know how CGC will view this or any books until they have actually been graded, CGC will examine the books much more closely than myself or most folks viewing this thread, I enlarge the pics that are posted and I personally tend to undergrade books, better to assign a lower grade and it comes back higher than vice-versa.

If you would like to learn about grading, may I suggest...

Here are the grading standards...

Here is a Glossary of Terms. (This sites grading standards are outdated using the 100 point grading scale which was changed to the 10 point grading scale about 20 years ago, however, the Glossary is very good)

7.5 I try to come up with my own opinion before reading the others and then see if I’m seeing something or not seeing something. The soiling and the corner crease. Very nice book.

It's great when you scroll down and find alignment, right?

Well, I'm going to buck the trend with an opinion that is almost worthless, but to me, the inside pages look like they came from a book in much worse condition than the cover.  Maybe it's just the lighting, but the pages pictured look pretty yellowed, and even a little soiled.

Maybe the pics, maybe my inexperience, but it's hard for me to go more than 7.0 after that second pic.

I'll see my way out...
