Printing defect?

Well, this book typically has its share of printing defects, most notably the tiny circular spots on the lower edge of the front cover. But that yellow area near the spine was actually supposed to be black, not yellow. So yes, I would say a manufacturing defect there. 

As far as color touch goes, I'd expect to see something in the areas that show distinct wear, such as the crease on the lower left corner of the front cover. And the black area along the edge of the spine would be another typical area, as well as the remaining corners and edges of the front cover. If you can't see anything in these areas, the chance of there being any color touch on this book becomes much less likely, IMO...  :gossip:
