scburdet Posted March 25, 2022 Posted March 25, 2022 While I am not a big fan of signature comics where the signator is not a creator, I am wondering if there's merit to an Aaron signature on a What If? #10. It's a very nice copy of the book that I could grade w/o signature. Hoberg or Glut signatures don't seem that common, nor do they seem to be that active in the industry anymore. Given the impact of the Jane Foster as Thor in the comics and MCU, maybe the merging of generational comic history has merit?

There’s some merit, if you like it, do it. but I don’t think it would do hot in the future aftermarket. I mean if you like Lady Thor that much I’d wait for a Natalie Portman signing.
scburdet Posted March 29, 2022 Author Posted March 29, 2022 Portman would be interesting. The price tag on the celebrity signings is steep. I did see Ms Portman when she was a student walking by the Charles River so maybe I can get a discount.
thesink Posted March 29, 2022 Posted March 29, 2022 Please do not get your What If #10 signed by Jason Aaron (unless there is something I am missing, like him having a published letter in the book). If it's for any other reason than you having a special place in your heart for Jason Aaron and the role he took in making Jane Foster Thor you should not do it. I'd also suggest not having Portman sign it either, but that's more of a personal preference as I would use a book that she is the model for as the cover. I'm a SS collector, but I only want books signed by a person that has a direct relationship to the content.
