Agree on 8.0. Boolean logic dictates that the answer to your question - "Does a press help ALL books maximize grade?" is no - a 10.0 book would not need a press ;) But just know there are somethings a clean and press can help with especially non-colour breaking things like dent or finger print; does not do anything for stains, foxing or obviously, tears.

7.5/8.0

Unless the covers have creasing that aren't evident in your pics, I'm not seeing anything that a press will improve.

Thanks for sharing.

I have this higher than others have posted so far. It's a really NICE, clean copy. Honestly, I see nothing keeping this from a 8.5 minimum, maybe even a 9.0. I don't think there's any need for pressing on this copy, any improvement would be negligible, as it already seems very flat, glossy, etc. Nice copy!!

8.0.  There look to be a few indentations/NC-breaking creases (one above the "R" in "Dracula", one next to Blade's left foot?) that a press will help with that might get you to an 8.5.
