In the past editions of Green Eggs and Ham grading contest, we had a good time picking prizes in a separate thread, and the variety of contributions and diff't tastes even added an element of suspense and some surprise on occasion.  Nobody was ever required to contribute a book to enter the contest, but it always turned out that many had something to throw in at least worthy of the cost of shipping, and occasional 'Uncle Pennybags' members would give a few items, so most/all got a chance to pick a 'prize.'  [though on principle I'm not a participation trophy person, this always seemed different]

Last time, participants (and a few non participants) added prizes.  IMO, it didn't go that well, as many people felt that since it was CGC hosted, very few prizes would be donated.  Also, people were wary of new users that had signed up for the contest, and awarding them prizes.  I think there were 19 prizes in all.    If one generous person had not donated 8 prizes, and 2 people who did not participate donate, there would have been a very small amount of donated prizes.  

CGC will be donating prizes to first, second and third place winners.  If someone wants to do a prize thread that is completely separate from the CGC prizes, that is fine.  Just understand that person or people will be 100% responsible for the handling of the entire prize thread.   Also, I will be determining picking order for the top 3 winners for the CGC prizes.  I may do this with a tiebreaker round.   If there are ties below the top 3, it will be up to the organizers of the prize thread to determine picking order.  Shin was kind enough to share these ideas, which could be used to do that.  

Final Rankings are determined by the following criteria:

1) Most Cumulative Bullseyes

2) Most Books off by 1 grade

3) Most Books off by 2 grades

4) First Book in order listed to get Bullseye

5) Second Book in order listed to get Bullseye
