crazyhips
Hi everyone. I have a bats 357 that has a spine crease/bend that can only be seen when tilting the cover (this is the reason for the glare in the picture; it is hard to get it to show). It is a moderate crease of about 1 cm. Approximate how much of a grade reduction would this crease result in assuming there are no other defects. Appreciate the advice and direction. Funnybooks
from a theoretical 10.0 to a likely 9.6 as is due to the described length of this crease...a much smaller, non-color breaking crease may still result in a 9.8 crazyhips
Lightning55
Get it pressed and you can say "What crease?" To me, that looks like the perfect type of defect that pressing will cure/improve. But it does depend on the back cover, since that is probably also bent. If no color break, or barely visible, you have won the pressing lottery. @joeypost Consult an expert. crazyhips
joeypost
I don't see any color break, so a pressing should eliminate the bend completely. crazyhips and greggy 1
