Stark72
Spoiler Spoiler Someone's Ebay Auction. Looks like someone attached the 2006 FF #52 reprint cover to a coverless Marvels Greatest Comics #39? The title says " Fantastic Four 52 1St Black Panther VF+ See Photos Marvels Greatest Comics" Description says " Marvels Greatest Comics Fantastic Four 52 VF+ 1st appearance Black Panther 1972" The back picture does not show a modern barcode which is present on the reprints. The listing says nothing about this being the reprint. Edited August 1, 2022 by Stark72 More info.
Lightning55
Maybe it's a repro cover, not the 2006 reprint.
Lightning55
Up to $610 with 4 days to go, 31 bids from 15 different bidders. In the old days, you could message those bidders to tell them what they were getting into, but the NEW eBay prevents you from doing the right thing. Wondering if the cover is from an actual FF 52, maybe problems with the interior like cut outs or missing pages, so got married to a reprint. Could have been done at any time along the way. The seller is aware of it, or wouldn't have put the Marvel's Greatest Comics notation in the sub-title, nothing to do with FF 52. Since it's there, he can say he disclosed it - but not very pointedly. Ultra sleazy. Coincidentally, as I am viewing it, in the Sponsored area below the main photo is a coverless copy of FF 52 for $269.
