Pedigree Comics' high grade September Modern Auction is underway. The auction began on the night of Wednesday, August 31st and lasts for two (2) weeks until the night of Wednesday, September 14th as a separate event on the Pedigree Comics website (www.PedigreeComics.com). The first lot (2099 A.D. Apocalypse #1 9.6) ends at 7:58 PM EST on Wednesday night, September 14th and the last lot (X-O Manowar #4 9.8) ends at 11:30 PM EST. There is no Buyers Premium on any of the lots in the auction and EVERY book is listed with no reserve. Every book is CGC graded and the minimum bid is only $20 for this auction. Most of the modern books are on consignment and come from a collection out of Palm Beach, Florida that was recently consigned to Pedigree Comics. Most of the books are Marvels but there are other publishers as well, including DC, Dark Horse Comics, Dynamite Entertainment, Image, Boom! Studios, IDW Publishing, Valiant, Image Comics, etc.

One of the featured groups from the consignment is the 9.8 CGC certified copies of the "Hip Hop" variant covers and Signature SERIES books in the auction, over 40 in total. Almost every book is an unread newsstand mint 9.8 with white pages and the highest certified copy according to the CGC census. The Signature SERIES include many Fabian Nicieza (co-creator of Deadpool) signed copies. Here are the highlights:
